Andrew George represented the exiled Russian politician and businessman, Boris Berezovsky, in his successful defence of an application for summary judgment brought against him by Chelsea football club owner, Roman Abramovich. The 3-week summary judgment hearing considered a number of legal and factual arguments relating to the multi-billion dollar claim which involves allegations of acts of intimidation and breaches of duty committed by Mr Abramovich in relation to oil, gas and aluminium interests in post-Communist Russia.
