R (Cornerhouse and Campaign against Arms Trade) v Serious Fraud Office

The House of Lords has ruled that the Serious Fraud Office acted lawfully when it stopped investigation into a Saudi arms deal. The House of Lords overturned the decision of the High Court that the decision was unlawful. Cornerhouse and Campaign Against the Arms Trade had applied for a judicial review of the SFO’s decision to discontinue the investigation of BAE plc for alleged bribery in relation to the Al Yamamah Saudi Arabian arms deal.
