The Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights heard its first case involving a victim of the CIA rendition programme. Khaled El-Masri claims he was tortured and ill treated in an Afghan prison having been wrongfully arrested over eight years ago. The Grand Chamber will deliver its judgment later this year.
