Advising and appearing for the GMC before the Court of Appeal against a doctor who claims that his case was unlawfully referred to a Fitness to Practise Panel after he refused to undergo a performance assessment. The issue is whether the case was properly referred by the GMC’s Registrar direct to a Fitness to Practise Panel or whether it had to be referred by the Case Examiners.
