West Yorkshire Police's appeal regarding its obligation to police land owned by the football club has been rejected by the Court of Appeal. Lord Dyson MR said "The policing of the extended footprint on match days is provided in order to maintain law and order and protect life and property in a public place."
This ruling will have an impact on policing of other public events.
