Phil Smith v The Football Association

Nick De Marco represented the football agent Phil Smith in a successful appeal before the FA Appeal Panel against a ban on Mr Smith practising as a football agent following findings that he had breached provisions of the Agents’ Regulations regarding Third Party Ownership. The case is the first one in which an Agent in the UK has been charged with third party interest in a football player, an area in which Nick has specialist expertise.
