Adam Lewis QC acted for the player before CAS in overturning FIFA’s decision that the player, current Ghanaian captain, was liable to pay the Turkish club €2 million in damages consequent upon his terminating his playing contract without just cause under the FIFA Player Status Regulations.  The club’s cross appeal that the €2 million ought to have been €12 million was also rejected.   It was held that the player was not liable to pay anything.
