Lifetime Achievement Award for Lord Woolf of Barnes

At the annual conference of The International Academy of Mediators, a Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to The Right Honourable Lord Woolf of Barnes.
He is a former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, whose seminal 1996 report Access to Justice is widely generally acknowledged to have been a major catalyst for the development of Alternative Dispute Resolution and Mediation in England and worldwide. He is presently Chairman of the Bank of England’s Financial Markets Law Committee and president of the Civil and Commercial Court for Qatar. Lord Woolf is a member of Blackstone Chambers.
