Mini-Pupillage

Mini pupillages are a vital part of our applications process. Accordingly, no pupillage will be offered at Blackstone Chambers unless the applicant has undertaken an assessed mini-pupillage. We are no longer accepting applications for assessed mini-pupillages for those wishing to apply for pupillage commencing in 2012.

We will be accepting applications from 1 October 2011 until 27th April 2012 for assessed mini pupillages for those wishing to apply for pupillages commencing in 2013.

Applications for mini pupillage must be made direct to us, preferably using our online application form.  If you are not able to access the online form, a downloadable version is available, which you can submit by post:

Alternatively, if neither of these options is possible, we can accept full cvs from applicants, provided they contain all the details (and in the same order) as those required on our application form.

If you have any queries about timing generally or when you should be applying for a mini pupillage, please contact Julia Hornor.

Mini Pupillage Application Form

If possible please apply using our online application form, which you can access here.

We appreciate that you may need a while to plan your responses. To help you, you can access the form, work on it, save it and return to it as many times as you wish before completing your application and sending it to us.  To do this, you simply need to provide a current email address and a password when prompted to do so.

If you are unable to use the online form for any reason, you can also download the current mini pupillage application form in pdf or Word format.

Financial Assistance for Mini Pupils

Since we insist on an assessed mini pupillage as part of the overall pupillage application process, we offer financial assistance either in respect of out-of-pocket travel or accommodation expenses incurred in attending the mini pupillage, up to a maximum of £250.
