Stanley Brodie is the most senior member of Blackstone Chambers, having been called to the Bar in 1954.  He accepts appointments to sit as an arbitrator;  his extensive experience also makes him ideally suited to provide expert opinions on matters within his areas of expertise which have included Commercial & Finance law, Media & Entertainment, Public law, and Domestic & International Arbitration.

Mr Brodie was appointed Bencher of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple in 1983. He was elected Reader of the Inner Temple in 1999 and Treasurer for 2000, the Millennium year. 

Mr Brodie was a Recorder of the Crown Court for 13 years, during which time he also served as a Deputy Official Referee (now known as a Judge of the Technology and Construction Court). 

During his time in junior practice, and over 40 years as a Queen's Counsel, he has had a wide commercial and financial practice covering a number of areas including property finance and banking as well as lotteries, gaming and competition law.  He has advised the National Lottery.  

Mr Brodie has been involved in a number of international arbitrations, both as counsel and as Arbitrator.
