A number of barristers from Blackstone chambers are involved in various appeals against the decision of FIFA to discipline national football associations for their players wearing a black armband with a poppy sign last November, because FIFA have deemed the poppy to be a 'political' symbol.

Adam Lewis QC and Ravi Mehta are instructed by the English FA, Ian Mill QC & David Lowe are instructed by the Football Association of Wales, and Nick De Marco is instructed by the Scottish FA.
