On 7 December, Bridging the Bar launched its mini-pupillage pilot scheme, with over 1600 candidates already having expressed an interest and almost 60 sets of chambers committed to supporting the scheme.

Blackstone Chambers is delighted to be one of those sets supporting the pilot scheme and to be one of the charity’s Founding Partners. Bridging the Bar was launched as a charity in April 2020 to support students from non-traditional and underrepresented backgrounds to access the Bar.

It was founded by Mass Ndow-Njie, a barrister at the Government Legal Department, whose pupillage involved six months at Blackstone Chambers.
