The Equality and Human Rights Commission has launched a project, “Following Grenfell”, which will look at the human rights and equality dimensions of the Grenfell Fire tragedy.
“Following Grenfell” will focus on seven key areas: the duty to investigate, the right to life, inhuman and degrading treatment, adequate housing; access to justice, the rights of children, and equality. The project will consist of public submissions and commentary on the evidence heard by the Public Inquiry. The Commission will publish its contributions on a dedicated section of the website, and will be inviting others with expertise and experience to contribute through blogs, articles and interviews.
