Blackstone Chambers is delighted to announce that Barbara Dohmann QC was honoured with an Outstanding Achievement Award by The Legal 500. At the awards ceremony, held on 27 February, Sam Grodzinski QC was also awarded Tax Silk of the year and Blackstone Chambers was named Set of the Year for Civil Liberties and Human Rights.
Barbara Dohmann QC was one of the first women at the commercial bar to be awarded silk. She was the first woman to chair the Commercial Bar Association (COMBAR), the first to sit as a deputy High Court judge in the Commercial Court and is also believed to be the first woman barrister to appear in the Commercial Court.
The Legal 500 awards seek to recognise each element of the profession equally, representing the very best law firms, chambers, barristers, in-house lawyers, business leaders and general counsel operating within the UK market.
