The Court of Appeal has reiterated that a freezing order is not intended to prevent dealings in the ordinary and proper course of business, even where such dealings may involve a high degree of risk or speculation: Organic Grape Spirit Limited v Nueva IQT, SL [2020] EWCA Civ 999. In so deciding, the Court allowed the Appellant’s appeal against provisions of a worldwide freezing order that would prevent it from developing its fledgling business.
Tom Weisselberg QC and Peter Head acted for the Appellant.
