Adam has a broad based commercial practice, with a particular emphasis on civil fraud (including all forms of injunctive relief), arbitration, and shareholder disputes. 

Adam's cases frequently involve the breakdown of shareholder relationships, or difficult questions of contractual construction.  He is equally comfortable litigating in the courts or in arbitration.  He is instructed on urgent applications including for freezing and related relief (including Bankers Trust orders, orders for cross-examination, and Bench Warrants), Norwich Pharmacal orders, and orders for delivery up; often for world-leading businesses including, recently, Motorola and Avanade.

Adam has extensive experience of acting as part of a team on complex, high-value matters, often in the public eye and with an international element.  He was a member of the Legal Business Awards “Dispute Resolution Team of the Year” in both 2012 and 2013, having acted (whilst employed in the top-ranked disputes team at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom) on cases such as Berezovsky v Abramovich [2012] EWHC 2463 (Comm) and The BP / Rosneft Injunction

He is also instructed in a wide range of insurance matters, including in relation to notification and coverage, and Bermuda Form arbitrations.  He has substantial experience of acting in negligence actions for and against all types of professionals, particularly  insurance brokers, tax advisers, solicitors and architects.

Adam has been recognised as a leading junior by The Legal 500 for the past two years, for his expertise in insurance and reinsurance.

Whilst at Skadden, Adam was a member of the Legal Business Award “Dispute Resolution Team of the Year” in 2012 having acted for the AAR consortium in its injunction of BP’s $16bn strategic alliance with Rosneft; and in 2013 following the successful defence of the largest claim brought in the English courts – Berezovsky v Abramovich.
