Gayatri commenced practice in September 2018 upon completion of her 12-month pupillage. She accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers' practice. During pupillage, she assisted in cases before a range of courts and tribunals, including the High Court, Court of Appeal, Supreme Court and the Employment Appeal Tribunal.

Before coming to the Bar, Gayatri taught EU law, tort law and land law at the University of Oxford. She also worked as a research assistant at the Law Commission and consultant to the International Bar Association.

Gayatri accepts instructions in all areas of civil liberties and human rights work. She has worked on matters concerning civil liberties and human rights in the High Court and Court of Appeal. 

Before coming to the Bar, Gayatri worked as a reporter for the European Human Rights Reports. She wrote the headnotes of a number of decisions of the European Court of Human Rights.
