AF v United Kingdom

Following the success of Justice’s intervention in the Control Order cases, Tom has been instructed by one of the controlled persons whose appeal was largely unsuccessful in the House of Lords (AF) in an application to the European Court of Human Rights (to be issued in January 2008). The case raises important issue about the legality of the UK’s use of preventative measures under the Prevention of Terrorism Act 2005 and use of Special Advocate procedure.
