The FSA has published the legal opinion, written by Charles Flint QC in April 2012, supporting its plans for a £110m consumer redress scheme for Arch cru investors.

In April, the regulator announced plans which require advisers who recommended Arch cru to carry out a review of whether the advice was suitable, and if not pay redress.

The FSA has now published the opinion statement it received from Charles Flint QC on whether it applied legal standards in proposing the scheme after it received requests from interested parties.
