Chapman v Attorney-General of New Zealand

Acted for the Attorney-General (in her capacity as Crown Counsel at the Crown Law Office) in defending a claim for compensation for alleged breaches of fair trial and natural justice rights committed by judges in the determination of the claimant’s criminal legal aid application and appeal against conviction.  This claim arises out of the Privy Council decision in R v Taito [2003] 3 NZLR 577.
