The Claimant is bringing an unprecedented claim to recover from the player compensation for the loss of his transfer value. Succeeded before the Football Association Premier League Appeals Committee following a hearing in March 2005. The player’s appeal to the Court of Arbitration in Sport in October 2005 was dismissed. A further hearing, to assess quantum, before the FIFA Dispute Resolution Committee, is yet to be fixed.
