Tom Weisselberg and Mark Vinall appeared for the Claimants (the producer of the film 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail' and his company) in a successful claim for rectification of an agreement concluded in 1974 between the producer (Mr Forstater) and the Pythons' film production company (PMP).

The contracts between PMP and the investors in the film gave PMP an enhanced share of profits arising from merchandising and spin-off activity to which the Pythons contributed. Mr Forstater's agreement with PMP contained a convoluted provision giving him a share of that additional income. Mr Forstater and his company invoiced for nearly 30 years on the basis that the entitlement was to one-seventh of that income. When the musical 'Spamalot' began generating substantial spin-off  income, PMP argued that the wording of the agreement only granted a one-fourteenth share.

Mr Justice Norris decided that the agreement as drafted did indeed only grant a one-fourteenth share, but that the agreement should be rectified to provide for a one-seventh share.
