The High Court (Mr Justice Hickinbottom) has handed down judgment in two test cases brought against the MOJ in relation to prison conditions at HMP Albany. The Court found that there was no violation of either claimant’s Article 3 or Article 8 rights, in relation to the alleged “slopping out” regime which was said to have operated there.
James Eadie QC and David Pievsky acted for the MOJ.
