Leeds United FC has won its policing costs dispute against West Yorkshire Police. The Court regards this as a "test case" about who should bear the cost of policing the streets and car parks near the football club's grounds. Leeds United argued this was the force's responsibility because it fell within normal policing obligations to maintain public order. The judgment requires the force to repay the club the money it has had to pay for such policing.
