R ((1) Lewisham Borough Council and (2) Save Lewisham Hospital Campaign) v Trust Special Administrator and Secretary of State for Health

Ivan Hare appeared (with Rory Phillips QC) for the Defendants in this challenge to the first use of the Secretary of State’s powers under the National Health Service Act 2006 to appoint a Trust Special Administrator to take over a failing NHS Trust and make recommendations for its services and those of neighbouring Trusts. The case will go to the Court of Appeal later in 2013.
