R v Chief Constable of Merseyside Police, ex parte Carol Anne Bennion

A chief constable had been entitled to reject an application for his disqualification as an adjudicator in police disciplinary proceedings even though the officer subject to those proceedings had named the chief constable as a respondent in separate proceedings before the employment tribunal.
