R v Home Secretary, ex parte People’s Mojahedin Organisation of Iran

Lord Lester acted for PMOI in a judicial review challenging the lawfulness of proscription under the provisions of the Terrorism Act 2000 and the compatibility of its provisions with the Human Rights Act 1998. In each case the claim included a challenge to the lawfulness of the proscription and to the lawfulness of the regime of offences laid down by the Terrorism Act.
