Watson v General Medical Council

The case concerned the fairness of the procedure adopted in relation to advice given by expert medical assessors to disciplinary panels of the GMC concerning doctors’ fitness to practice.  It was the first time this procedure had been considered in detail by the courts.  The case also raised the issue of whether the procedure was sufficient to satisfy Article 6 ECHR.
