Ian Mill QC was appointed by Sports Resolutions on behalf of the World Professional Billiards & Snooker Association to decide the disciplinary proceedings brought against the World No.1 snooker player, John Higgins, and his former manager, Pat Mooney, alleging complicity in frame fixing (following a "sting" operation by the News of the World). On 8 September 2010, Ian published his Decision (attached) banning Mr Higgins for six months (but only on the lesser charge of failing to report the approach made to him seeking his involvement in the fixing of frames), but banning Mr Mooney for life.
