The High Court has handed down a judgment in this case, concerning the collapse of the Fundão dam in 2015, identifying the issues to be considered and the timetable to trial. Mrs Justice O’Farrell DBE listed the first stage trial to take place from October 2024 (instead of from April 2024) with an estimate of 11 weeks. The case is the largest opt-in group action to be brought before the English courts with in excess of 700,000 claimants.
