In a decision of the Chair of an Appeal Panel appointed by Sport Resolutions following an expedited hearing on Monday 4 July, suspensions of the professional golfers Ian Poulter, Adrian Otaegui and Justin Harding from playing in the Scottish Open (commencing Thursday 7 July) and two other DP World Tour co-sanctioned tournaments have been lifted pending determination of the golfers’ substantive appeals.  The sanctions had been imposed upon the golfers by decisions of the CEO of the PGA European Tour of 24 June 2022.  The Chair of the Appeal Panel determined that the suspensions should be stayed pending the determination of the golfers’ appeals before the Appeal Panel, which are to be heard as de novo appeals under the applicable regulations.

James Segan QC, David Lowe and Tom Mountford acted for Mr Poulter, Mr Otaegui and Mr Harding

Adam Lewis QC, Ravi Mehta and Emmeline Plews acted for the PGA European Tour
