An independent Regulatory Commission has published the full written reasons for its decision to dismiss all of the charges of spot-fixing against the Brazilian international and West Ham United player, Lucas Paquetá. The decision, being 314 pages long, is understood to be the longest sports judgment to ever be issued worldwide and followed the longest FA hearing in history.

The FA alleged Mr Paquetá deliberately obtained yellow cards in four different Premier League matches in order to help others win bets on football. The Regulatory Commission found all four spot-fixing charges not proven and dismissed them, while it upheld two charges of breach of FA Rule 3 relating to the failure to provide information when required.

Nick De Marco KC represented Paquetá before the Commission.
