The Thirlwall Inquiry

On 15th September 2026, Lady Justice Thirlwall published her report into the failings by all those responsible for the safety of babies at the Countess of Chester hospital.

This included the implications following the trial, and subsequent convictions, of former neonatal nurse Lucy Letby of murder and attempted murder of babies at the hospital.
