Aislinn joined Chambers in September 2023 following the successful completion of pupillage. She is building a practice across Chambers' practice areas.

Recent highlights of Aislinn's experience include assistance with the following cases:

  • Various Claimants v Mirror Group Newspapers (phone hacking litigation).
  • A week-long disciplinary hearing about alleged breaches of a sports body’s disciplinary rules.
  • ClientEarth v FCA, in relation to the FCA's decision to approve the prospectus of Ithaca plc (an oil and gas company).
  • Sanctions advice on a major corporate group restructuring.
  • Microsoft Corporation v Competition and Markets Authority and Activision Blizzard, Inc. (merger control litigation).
  • A human rights dispute in relation to a high-profile prisoner.
  • Acting for the respondent in a complex employment tribunal claim alleging various forms of discrimination, personal injury, breach of contract, unauthorised deduction from wages, and breach of the Working Time Regulations.

Aislinn has a particular interest in law and technology. Prior to commencing pupillage, she worked as a researcher at the University of Oxford, where her work focused on the regulation of automated decision-making systems in the workplace. Aislinn is currently seconded to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), where she is working with the litigation and enforcement teams on data protection matters.

Civil Liberties & Human Rights

Aislinn accepts instructions in all areas of civil liberties and human rights. Her experience during pupillage included assistance with a wide range of human rights work. Prior to pupillage, Aislinn's worked with with JUSTICE on its submission for the Independent Review of the Human Rights Act.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Aislinn worked on human rights litigation with the Global Legal Action Network (GLAN). Her work with GLAN included drafting a complaint in relation to breaches of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises (accepted by multiple OECD National Contact Points) and a submission to the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child on Irish tax policy (which resulted in a recommendation to Ireland in its most recent periodic review).
