A Disciplinary Commission of the EFL has published the written reasons for its decision to expel Southampton FC from the Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs and impose a four-point deduction and a reprimand in respect of Southampton FC’s admitted breaches of EFL rules prohibiting the observation of opponents’ training.

Southampton FC’s appeal against the decision of the Disciplinary Commission was dismissed on 20 May 2026 by a League Arbitration Panel. The written reasons of the League Arbitration Panel are yet to be published.
